How to View Colorfront Streams on Apple Devices

1. Get the Latest Version of Colorfront Streaming Player
Before anything else, make sure you’re using the latest build of Colorfront Streaming Player.
To check:
- Open the Mac App Store
- Search for "Colorfront"
- Download or update Streaming Player to the newest version
This step applies to Mac, iPad, and Apple TV.
2. Test a Demo Stream
Before joining a live session, we highly recommend testing a demo stream to confirm that your device is working correctly and your email is authenticated.
Here's how to test:
- Install Colorfront Streaming Player on your device
- Open the app, you’ll see a prompt to join a demo stream
- Enter your email address to receive a verification code
- Enter the code when it arrives
- The demo stream will begin playing
This step ensures you’re ready to go when your real session starts.
3. Joining a Live Stream on a Mac or iPad
When the live session begins, you will receive an email invite with a link to join.
To connect smoothly:
- Make sure the email address used for authentication in the Streaming Player matches the email address that receives the invite
- Open Streaming Player, and the stream should begin automatically once you accept the invite
Tip: Run a quick demo test first to confirm your player is activated and authenticated.
4. Joining a Live Stream on Apple TV
For Apple TV users, the connection process is a bit different but just as easy:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Streaming Player
- Enter your email address in the Streaming Player settings
- When the stream invite arrives, select “Join with Device” and press Play on the Apple TV remote
- A six-digit code will appear
- Enter that code into the Join with Device prompt
This will link your Apple TV to your email and begin the stream playback.
Now you’re ready to stream with confidence on any Apple device!
